CU has got a nephew-uncle tandem with Freshmen sensation Darrel Scott (#1 recruited high-school running back)  and his uncle, Josh Smith who ran back a 93 kick-off return for a touchdown!

Scott, who rushed 12 times for 50 yards and a TD set the tone for things to come but his uncle, Josh Smith, took over the game with a combined 189 yards and a TD of his own to seal the win for the Buffs! Smith scored CU’s first kick-off return for a TD in 5 years. The last time this happened was when CU sensation Jeremy Bloom ran one back for 88 yards against K-State in 2003.
Although this is the last game to be played at Investo Field with 69,619 fans in the near future (2009 at Folsom Field, 2010 at Fort Collins), we finished the series with thumping of CSU.
