CU Business Networking
Jim Malmberg (graduated in ‘85) has created a more robust CU Business Networking Site for CU alums on the Ning platform. If you are not familiar with Ning, it is a highly customizable platform for building social networks. Our groups focus will remain on building business relationships and problem solving.
If you are perfectly happy using our Yahoo! Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CUNetworking/) or our LinkedIn group (http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/3476/5617FF09CFAC) then don’t worry. You can continue to utilize both of them without any need to join Ning. On the other hand, if you are looking for a significantly more interactive networking experience with other CU grads, then you may want to check out the new site at http://www.CUNetworking.net. (not to be confused with our Dot COM address). Ning also provides some nice interfacing capability with Facebook.
One of the major benefits of Ning is that you will be able to invite any old CU friends that you keep in contact with to join us. This should propel overall network growth and help all of us expand our business connections.
Feedback: If there are any additional features you would like to see, if the layout needs to be changed, or if there are existing features that you would like to see removed, let Jim know.
Since we have a number of CU faculty members in the group, I will also point out that I have included an event calendar in the Ning group. This should allow you to post campus events in a central location that the entire group will have access to.
Any feedback, please email Jim Malmberg at: jmalmberg@CUNetworking.com
