CU – Missouri Watch Party SAT 3 Nov 07, 3:30 PM
Colorado’s running game outscores Texas Tech’s passing game by a score of 31-26 this past Saturday! Texas Tech (6-3, 2-3) was a legitimate contender for the Big XII South Division, but just like the South’s previous two challengers that played CU this year, Oklahoma (7-1, 3-1) and Baylor (3-6, 0-5), they fell to the BUFFS (5-4, 3-2)!!! In all, the Buffs completed a clean sweep of their Southern foes!
CU’s victory over the Red Raiders was aided by Texas Tech’s quarterback, Graham Harrell’s four interceptions (3 picks for Terrence Wheatley and 1 by Jordan Dizon for a touchdown). While CU’s Cody Hawkins threw for 2 touchdowns and zero interceptions for the game. In fact, this was the first game of the year that CU had zero turnovers period!
Meanwhile the Big XII North Division has four contenders left (listed in order of their chance to win): Kansas (8-0, 4-0), Missouri (7-1, 3-1), Kansas State (5-3, 3-2) and Colorado (5-4, 3-2). Iowa State (1-8, 0-5) and Nebraska (4-5, 1-4) are mathematically out of the picture.
#8 Kansas and #9 Missouri are both ranked in the Top 10! While Colorado received two votes and is #40 (Oklahoma #5, Texas #12, Kansas State #33, Oklahoma State #35, and Texas Tech dropped to #37) in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
At this point CU is just ONE win away from bowl eligibility (teams need 6 division 1A wins to qualify)!!!… and this brings us up to our next game against Mizzou on Saturday! All of the “experts” are predicting the Missouri Tigers will win-out their last four games to meet Oklahoma in the Big XII Championship Game.
NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND… With a CU victory on Saturday and a combination of losses by KU and KSU in the next few weeks, CU can regain the lead in the Big XII North by the end of the season!!!
CU is only a 4 point underdog, despite Missouri being ranked #9 in the country. I guess for a 5-4 team, The BUFFS have even convinced the odds-pickers in Vegas that CU can beat any team on any given weekend!
NEVER STOP BELIEVING!!!! (1994 Miracle in Michigan Play)
