FREE Tour and Beer Tasting at the Anchor Brewing Company in San Francisco, CA TUE 28 AUG 2007
We have set up two FREE tours of the Anchor Brewing Company in San Francisco, CA (makers of Anchor Steam beer)! These tours are booked up several weeks in advance and are only held on weekdays in groups of 10 or less.
Founded in 1896, Anchor Brewing Company is the original “micro/craft” brewery that helped spur the resurrection of great American beer in the 1970’s. Soon after Anchor’s success, many other breweries sprang up around the United States such as Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams), and hundreds of others. Today Anchor beers are still relatively made by hand and in small batches.
We have set up two tour times on 28 Aug 2007. Each tour takes roughly 45 minutes and then 75 minutes of beer tasting (2 hours total). The first tour is at 11:00 AM and the second tour is at 2 PM.
