Fellow CU alumni Tory Tupper Del Favero (class of 95) has started a grassroots campaign to restore the serving of beer at the CU Alumni Tent: Save Our Beer (S.O.B.). The 2007 football season begins without the serving of beer at the CU Alumni Tent. Over the years, hundreds of out-of-state and local alums have gathered at the CU Alumni Tent before each game to meet with old friends and, until this year, share a beer or two. It would be hard to disagree that changes to alcohol policy were needed at CU in the last decade. However taking the taps away from the “aging” alumni crowd puts yet another roadblock in the path of alumni support for this loyal group of CU fans.

CU finally finds their running game after shutting out Miami, OH 42-0 this past Saturday at Folsom Field! The Buffs (2-2) controlled the game with their balanced offensive attack with 359 yards on the ground, 275 yeards in the air and total offensive output of 634 yeards! Even more impressive was the consistent defensive play of our d-line and secondary with leading tackles made by Daniel Dykes, Brad Jones, Jordan Dizon and Jeff Smart. Even though CU had three turnovers, the Colorado D still held the Redhawks in check by only allowing 6 first downs for the entire game. Great Job BUFFS!!!

The first five minutes of the CU – ASU game were GREAT down in Tempe, AZ this past weekend! The remaining 55 minutes was a different story… ASU was our “sandwich” game, having CSU to kick off the season and FSU this coming weekend… we just simply overlooked this overrated PAC-10 game… and paid for it. At least we are not Michigan (0-2) or Notre Dame (0-2)!
